Phil Rygg

Phil Rygg has a diverse range of work experience in communications and public relations. Phil began their career at EDS Advanced Solutions Inc (now HP Advanced Solutions) as a Communications Director, where they successfully increased company visibility and employee engagement through various communications initiatives. Phil then moved on to BC Hydro, where they held the role of Communications Professional, focusing on employee communications and Aboriginal relations. During their time at BC Hydro, they played a key role in improving field employee awareness of company-wide priorities and supporting Hydro's relationships with First Nations communities. Most recently, Phil has served as the Director of Public & Corporate Relations at the BC Energy Regulator, where they have been responsible for overseeing public and corporate communications for the organization.

Phil Rygg obtained a Certificate in Advanced Leadership from UBC Sauder School of Business from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government at the University of Guelph.
