Michael Salmon

Mike Salmon is an experienced soccer professional currently serving as a Soccer Development Officer and part-time High Performance Lead at BC Soccer since February 2016. Previously, Mike worked as a Performance Analyst and Assistant Coach for the Canadian Men’s National Team during the Gold Cup in July 2013. From November 2007 to June 2011, Mike held the role of Men's Goalkeeping Coach and Prozone Performance Analyst at Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Additional coaching roles include Women's Goalkeeping Coach for the Canadian Soccer Association and Under 21's Goalkeeper Coach at Arsenal F.C. Mike's playing career includes significant stints as a first team goalkeeper with clubs such as Charlton Athletic, Wrexham AFC, Bolton Wanderers, and Stockport County, accumulating over 400 appearances. Mike's educational background includes attendance at Runshaw College, Wellfield High School, and Farington Primary School.
