Currently serving as the Manager of Maintenance Planning & Business Support at BC Transit since October 2012, Chelsea leads planning and scheduling activities within the Victoria Regional Transit System. Previous roles at BC Transit include Senior Planner and Fleet Planner, focusing on optimizing maintenance processes and fleet acquisition. In addition, Chelsea has contributed to organizations such as the Gwich'in Renewable Resources Board as a Webmaster/Communications Consultant and owned a freelance web design business. Chelsea also served as Interim CAO for the Village of Big Valley, worked on special events for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, and held research positions at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Chelsea holds a Master of Science in Systematics & Evolution from the University of Alberta and a Professional Development Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics from the University of Victoria.
