Christy Ridout has extensive work experience in strategy, planning, and public affairs. From 2018 to present, they have held the role of Vice President of Strategy and Public Affairs at BC Transit, leading the development of initiatives and fostering relationships with stakeholders. Prior to this, they served as A/Vice President of Strategy and Public Affairs and Director of Corporate and Strategic Planning at BC Transit. Christy also worked as the Manager of Corporate and Capital Planning, responsible for developing strategic plans and managing financials at BC Transit. Before joining BC Transit, they worked at the Ministry of Labour and Citizen's Services, Accommodation, and Real Estate Services as a Project Services Manager. Christy was also a Senior Business Planner at BC Ferries and held planning roles at BC Buildings Corporation. Christy Ridout obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria in 1999. Christy later pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the same university, completing it in 2021.
