Roukaya Ibrahim has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2007, they worked as an intern in the International Controlling Department at Ratiopharm. From 2008 to 2009, they served as a Teaching Assistant for Economics at McGill University. Roukaya then joined the Central Bank of Egypt's Monetary Policy Department in 2010 as an Economic Analyst, where they conducted macroeconomic forecasting and analysis. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bristol, focusing on quantitative research projects related to poverty and gender inequality. Roukaya continued their research work as a Research Analyst at the Townsend Centre for International Poverty Research in 2015. Alongside their research roles, they also worked as an Economics Teacher at Dawson College from 2015 to 2018. Finally, they joined BCA Research in 2017 and held various roles, including Associate Editor, Editor/Strategist, and currently serves as the Vice President of Daily Insights.
Roukaya Ibrahim started their education in 2002 at the American International School Riyadh, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from 2002 to 2004. Following that, they attended The German University in Cairo from 2004 to 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance. In 2008 to 2009, Roukaya pursued their Master of Arts degree in Economics at McGill University. After completing their education, they obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in French-Language & Culture from McGill University in May 2010.
