Santiago Mazuelas is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in telecommunications engineering and mathematics. Currently serving as an Ikerbasque Research Associate at BCAM - Basque Center for Applied Mathematics since January 2023, Santiago previously held the position of Ramon y Cajal and Ikerbasque Fellow at the same institution from December 2017 to January 2023. Santiago's research experience includes roles as a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from October 2018 to November 2020, and as a Staff Engineer at Qualcomm from March 2014 to November 2017, focusing on machine learning and context-aware applications. Earlier positions encompass postdoctoral roles at MIT, researcher work at the Center for the Development of Telecommunications, and lecturing at the University of Valladolid.
