Kissy M. Maurice M.ed.

Kissy M. Maurice, M.Ed., MBA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2001, they began their career as a Children and Family Service Worker at Gulf Coast Community Action Agency, where they managed a caseload of families in the Headstart program and provided assistance with medical, family development, and community resources.

Kissy M. then moved on to work as a Long-Term Recovery Specialist at The Salvation Army and Recovery Assistance International, where they assisted clients affected by Hurricane Katrina in accessing recovery funds and advocated on their behalf with FEMA and insurance companies.

In 2008, Kissy joined the YMCA of the USA as an Education Facilitator, where they facilitated sessions on abstinence education, anger management, and healthy relationships. Kissy M. also maintained treatment plans and case notes for individual clients.

From 2010 to 2016, Kissy held various roles at Virginia College, including Campus Administrator and Student Services Coordinator. In these positions, they provided administrative leadership, managed budgets, facilitated purchasing and facilities management, coordinated student activities, and produced university publications.

In 2017, Kissy worked as Intergovernmental and Community Relations at the San Antonio Housing Authority, where they represented the organization in meetings, addressed inquiries, and identified trends to implement solutions.

Kissy M. then transitioned to the role of Business Administrator at Longhorn Recycling, where they managed human resources, financial record-keeping, billing, personnel information management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Most recently, Kissy joined BEAT AIDS Coalition Trust in 2018 as the Ryan White Program Manager. In this role, they supervised staff, oversaw clinic operations, planned and completed programmatic activities, and managed reporting for funding support.

Currently, Kissy holds the position of Deputy Director at BCFS Health & Human Services, where they continue to contribute their expertise and leadership skills.

Kissy M. Maurice, M.Ed., MBA has a strong educational background, with degrees in various fields. Kissy M. earned their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Mississippi Valley State University, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Phoenix, completing their studies from 2006 to 2008. Recently, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Business Administration, from the New England College of Business between 2014 and 2016. These diverse academic achievements have equipped Kissy M. Maurice with a well-rounded knowledge base in both the education and business sectors.
