Anita Handregan

Vice President, Education & Licensing at BC Financial Services Authority

Anita Handregan has extensive experience in education management and leadership. Anita currently holds the position of Vice President of Education at BC Financial Services Authority, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at SkilledTradesBC as the Director of Program Standards & Assessments from May 2018 to March 2023. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing trades training and apprenticeship programs in British Columbia.

Before their time at SkilledTradesBC, Anita worked as an Education Management Consultant from January 2014 to 2018. Anita provided consulting services to post-secondary institutions, specializing in areas such as business development, operations, new program development, curriculum development, and change management.

From 2012 to 2013, Anita served as the Regional Director of Operations at Campus Support, where they provided leadership and strategic direction to 13 campuses in the BC region. Anita achieved outstanding results in areas such as admissions, marketing, retention, and graduate placement.

Prior to this, Anita held the position of Regional Vice President at EDMC from April 2008 to December 2010. In this role, they led diverse teams across multiple locations in the USA and played a crucial role in operations, compliance, and talent management. Anita also introduced the first online employee leadership development program.

Anita's career began at LaSalle College Vancouver in May 2003, where they served as the Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Industry Relations. During their tenure, they successfully transitioned four schools into the largest private post-secondary college in Canada at the time. Anita was also involved in setting strategic direction and managing multiple campus locations.

Anita's earlier experience includes roles at ITI Information Technology Institute, where they served as the Campus President from January 2001 to December 2003, and as the Program Director and Faculty Development Coach in 2000.

Anita Handregan has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of British Columbia. Anita also holds a master's degree in Adult Education and Human Resources from Colorado State University.
