Antonia Prlic

Antonia Prlic has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Antonia is currently working as the Director, Credit Union Deposit Insurance Operations at BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA), where they oversee the risk assessment and fund management teams and contributes to cross-jurisdictional initiatives on financial regulation. Prior to their current role, they served as the Managing Director/Manager, Regulatory Initiatives at BCFSA, where they led organizational regulatory initiatives and policy development related to emerging risks for BC financial institutions.

Before joining BCFSA, Antonia founded their own company called Prlic Research & Insight in 2016, where they served as the Founder & Chief Insight Officer. In this role, they provided economic analysis and market research insights to public and private sector clients and supported the development of strategic plans based on data analysis.

Antonia also has experience working at Altus Group as the Director, Research Consulting Services. Here, they managed the strategic growth, operations, and analysis of a research subscription product, as well as played a critical role in major global engagements and custom retail real estate market demand studies.

Additionally, Antonia worked at IHS as the Director, Economic Analysis & Planning, where they directed global client engagements and focused on market planning, demographic analysis, customer segmentation, and global economic analysis. Antonia successfully increased recurring consulting and product revenues by developing strategic client relationships. Before their role at IHS, Antonia worked at IHS Global Insight as the Director, Consumer Markets and as the Principal, Business Planning Solutions.

Earlier in their career, Antonia worked as an Economist at Standard & Poor's DRI, a Research Associate at BC Trade & Development Corp., and as an Intern in Trade Policy & Promotion at the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C.

Antonia Prlic holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from Western University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, Antonia Prlic completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
