Brandt Watkins

Brandt Watkins has a diverse work experience in the financial services and law enforcement sectors. Brandt currently works as a Manager- Compliance and Enforcement at BC Financial Services Authority, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, from August 2021 to April 2022, Watkins worked as an Investigator-Compliance & Market Conduct at British Columbia Financial Services Authority. Before joining the financial sector, they served as a Compliance Officer at the Real Estate Council of BC from October 2020 to August 2021.

In their earlier career, Watkins held multiple roles at the Vancouver Police Department. From May 2019 to August 2020, they worked as a Financial Crime Unit Sergeant. Brandt also served as the Chair of the Vancouver Police Department & CISBC/YT Cyber Intelligence Group. Prior to this, they worked as a Technological Crime Unit Sergeant from December 2013 to May 2019.

Additionally, Watkins has been involved in professional associations, specifically with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police. From July 2016 to October 2018, they served as the Former Co-Chair of the Digital Forensic Committee and E-Crime Committee.

Brandt also has an Associate's Degree in Criminology, which they earned from Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 1985 to 1988. In addition, they obtained a Certificate in Business Administration and Management, General from Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 1997 to 1999. Brandt Watkins also holds a CompTIA A+ certification, which they obtained from CompTIA in October 2014.
