Carol Whittome

Carol Whittome has a diverse work experience history. Carol currently holds the position of Senior Policy Analyst at BC Financial Services Authority, which they started in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked for the Government of British Columbia, where they served as a Policy and Legislative Analyst from June 2019 to December 2021 and as a Senior Labour Relations Specialist from October 2017 to May 2019. Before that, Carol worked at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, first as an Investigator from June 2015 to June 2016, and then as an Adjudicator from June 2016 to October 2017. Carol also worked as an Associate (Research Lawyer) at Koskie Glavin Gordon from March 2014 to May 2015, and as an Associate - Litigation Solicitor (Research Lawyer) at Moore Edgar Lyster from February 2012 to February 2014. Earlier in their career, Carol held the position of Associate at Fiorillo Glavin Gordon from August 2007 to January 2012. Carol worked as a Partner at Advocate Assist LLP from 2006 to 2007, and as a Crown Counsel for the Province of British Columbia from 2005 to 2006. Carol began their legal career as a Summer and Articling Student at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP from 2003 to 2005.

Carol Whittome attended the University of Victoria from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in LL.B. Additionally, in February 2017, they received certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) from The International Association of Privacy Professionals.
