Tye Tavaras

Tye Tavaras has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2013, they worked as a Recruitment Consultant for the American Councils for International Education. The following year, Tavaras joined Emory University as a Study Abroad Advisor, where they provided guidance and support to students participating in semester abroad programs. In 2014, they also took on the role of Executive Producer for the SoJam event at The Contemporary A Cappella Society. Tavaras later joined The Carter Center as a Program Associate, working on projects related to democratic elections standards and providing operational support for elections monitoring missions.

In 2015, Tavaras joined The Princeton Review as an LSAT/MCAT CARS/GRE Instructor and Tutor, helping students prepare for standardized tests. They also worked as an Assistant Manager and Wine Consultant at Purple Corkscrew.

In 2017, Tavaras returned to Emory University, initially as an Assistant Director of Global Strategy & Initiatives, where they contributed to the redesign and expansion of global engagement initiatives. They eventually became an Associate Director, leading projects such as senior delegation trips and the Passport to Emory program in South Korea and China.

In 2021, Tavaras joined Louisiana State University as the Director of Global Partnerships, where they played a key role in establishing international partnerships and advancing global strategic initiatives. They achieved notable milestones, including securing key grants and coordinating the adoption of university-wide access to Clarivate Analytics.

In 2022, Tavaras joined BCG BrightHouse as an Associate Strategy Director, and they also served as a GYF Conservation Fellow at the Climate Leadership Initiative.

Tye Tavaras's education history begins in 2005 when they enrolled at Emory University. They completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Studies in 2009. Afterward, from 2009 to 2011, Tye pursued a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law at The American University in Cairo. They then returned to Emory University and attended the Emory University School of Law from 2012 to 2013, obtaining a Juris Master degree in International Law and Foreign Relations.

In addition to their formal education, Tye Tavaras has also obtained several certifications. They achieved the Tableau Desktop Certified Associate certification from Tableau Software in October 2018. Furthermore, they have completed the Google Project Management Certificate through Coursera in October 2022. Tye has also pursued various LinkedIn certifications, including Workshop Facilitation and Developing Cross-Cultural Intelligence in September 2022, and Creating a Communications Strategy and Essential Lessons for First-Time Managers in December 2021. Moreover, they obtained the WSET Level 2 Wines certification from WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) in August 2021 and the WSET Level 1 Wines certification in May 2020. Prior to these, Tye achieved the GRE certification from The Princeton Review in May 2017. They have also held instructor positions with The Princeton Review, serving as an MCAT CARS Instructor in November 2016 and an LSAT Instructor in June 2015.
