Akua Nimarko

Akua Nimarko, PhD, is a consultant at Boston Consulting Group since August 2021, specializing in due diligence for private equity clients in healthcare and technology. Previously, while a PhD candidate in Neurosciences at Stanford University School of Medicine (2015-2021), Akua characterized brain differences in high-risk youth, analyzed neural mechanisms in bipolar youth, and managed teams utilizing natural language processing and machine learning. Akua also co-founded the SoLID Mentorship Program to enhance graduate student retention and served as a program leader for various initiatives promoting inclusion and success within graduate and undergraduate populations. Akua's academic qualifications include a PhD in Neurosciences from Stanford University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
