Richard Mabaya

Richard Mabaya is an experienced mining professional currently serving as the Manager of Phikwe Mine at BCL Limited since December 2012, overseeing all mining activities at a large underground Nickel/Copper mine with a production capacity of approximately 80,000 tons per month and a workforce of around 1,100 employees. Prior to this, Richard held the position of Chief Mine Planning Engineer at Glencor's Rosh Pinah Mine from March 2008 to November 2012, where responsibilities included overseeing mine planning and serving as Project Manager for the Underground Ore Transportation Project. Richard's earlier roles include Mining Manager at Bindura Nickel Corporation, Mine Manager at Startmining Company, Technical Services Manager at Pan African Mining, and Operations Planning Manager at Zimasco Pvt Ltd, accumulating expertise in various mining methods and operational management throughout a diverse career in the mining sector.
