Djamila Olivier Gonzalez has a wealth of experience in the engineering field, starting with their role as Projects Engineer for Omni Manufacturing Services, S.A. de C.V. in 2000. There, they were responsible for the online follow up of tooling fabrication milestones at various providers. In 2005, they took on the role of Technical Marketing & Pre-Sales for Objet Rapid Prototyping Machines, Materialise & Moldex3D Software at AIDA, S.L., where they designed and performed divulgation activities for the different products and participated in European annual users meetings of the Moldex3D Software. In 2007, they founded a reseller company, ENGICAD, S.L., to distribute Solidimension 3DPrinters, VX CAD/CAM software and Materialise Software. As Product Manager, they were responsible for launching the product at the customer facilities, including software, hardware installation and technical training. From 2009 to 2018, Djamila worked at IQS Barcelona as Researcher for 3D Printing materials and European Projects Manager. In their role as Researcher, they explored and assessed the influence of the morphology of an alumina/dextrin/alphabond powder mixture over its ability to create 3DPrinted objects and developed a methodology based upon a customer driven approach to generate the engineering features and targets required to obtain a compliant powdered 3DPrinting materials system. As European Projects Manager, they assisted the writing of scientific/technical proposals for research projects funded by National and European Instances. In 2015, they worked as CEO for Voxeled Materials Consulting & Supplies, where they developed several market research studies for customers interested to enter the 3D printing market and performed the marketing strategy for 3D Printing market introduction of important industrial companies. Since 2018, Djamila has been a Design Quality Engineer for FICOSA, coordinating all activities involved at the Advanced Quality Planning Process for their projects. Djamila is currently an VLM Applications Engineer for BCN3D Technologies.

Djamila Olivier Gonzalez began their education in 1990, when they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Materials Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar. Djamila then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Industrial Projects Management from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they completed in 2006. In 2013, they completed the BioEmprendedor XXI Program in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from BIOCAT. Finally, Djamila Olivier Gonzalez earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Engineering from IQS Barcelona in 2015. Following that, they completed the EMPENTA PROGRAM in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from ESADE CREAPOLIS in 2015.
