Ann Tyler has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 1989, they worked as an Account Executive at The Quest Business Agency, where they created business proposals, launched media relations campaigns, and organized special events for various clients. From 1992 to 1993, they served as a Senior Account Manager at Vollmer Public Relations. In 1994, Ann joined David Ashton and Associates as an Account Manager, contributing to the company's growth and managing projects in the finance, healthcare, nonprofit, and education sectors. Ann also played a key role in developing the firm's marketing brochure and website. In 2001, Ann became the Owner and Designer of Millie Bags, overseeing all aspects of the high-end handbag collection, trade shows, sales force management, and marketing initiatives. Ann continued in this role until 2012 when they joined Elan Innovation as a Sales and Marketing Manager. During this time, Ann successfully relaunched a cutting tool in the retail and craft market, secured distributor networks, and implemented a social media program. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as the Director of Marketing at BCT Design Group, where they oversaw the firm's marketing efforts, supported business development, and executed special events. Ann then transitioned to the role of Director of Business Development at BCT, targeting developers and building client relationships to contribute to the company's growth.

Ann Tyler attended Vanderbilt University from 1982 to 1987, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Western European Studies.
