Mark Cushing

Mark Cushing currently serves as a Partner in Advisory and Consulting at BDO in Australia, a position held since October 2017. In this role, Mark specializes in strategic planning, crisis management, and the optimization and transformation of business services, alongside expertise in program management and stakeholder change management. Prior to this, Mark held several executive roles within various departments, including Executive Director for Strategy & Public Sector at the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, and Executive Director positions in the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Science Information Technology and Innovation, and the Department of State Development, Infrastructure & Planning. Mark began a career in leadership as Chief Information Officer at the Queensland Reconstruction Authority and has experience in managing spatial services at the Department of Infrastructure & Planning.
