Zaaki Permessur

Zaaki is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and boasting more than 12 years of audit and accountancy experience with specialisation in the Global Business Sector in Mauritius.

As a Partner in BDO Global Business department, he has been involved in a number of compliance reviews as well as some Due Diligence assignments in the sector. He provided training, guidance, and technical assistance to the team to ensure timely completion of work. Moreover, he led a number of compliance remediation efforts for some small to medium sized OMCs in Mauritius.

Zaaki led several assignments such as Forensic Financial Investigation, Due Diligence for business acquisition (Switzerland, Hong Kong, Shanghai and India) and project costs valuation. He was also in charge of several liquidation/winding-up of funds and Global Business Companies under the Insolvency Act as well as involving on Insurance Claims assignments acting as loss adjusters.

He has also undertaken several risk management and internal control system review for various companies in the financial sector.

His areas of expertise include several sectors encompassing - Global Business; Protected Cells Companies (PCC); Funds; Financial institutions; Private equity; Constructions and Retail & distribution. Zaaki has hands-on experience on liquidation/winding up of Global Business Companies.
