Rani Moodley

Rani Moodley has a strong background in talent acquisition and consultancy. Rani is currently the Head of Talent Acquisition at BDO South Africa since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Talent Consultant at Talent Champion from December 2019 to December 2022. Rani was also a Senior Careers Consultant at SA Taxi from October 2020 to March 2021. Rani has experience as a Specialist Technical Recruiter during their freelance work from December 2019 to October 2020. Rani served as the Head of Talent Acquisition: International at Smollan from November 2018 to November 2019. Additionally, they worked as an Independent Consultant for a few months in 2018. Rani also held senior HR and talent acquisition roles at Huawei Technologies, EMC, KPMG South Africa, and SAP. Overall, they have a diverse and extensive work experience in talent acquisition and consultancy.

Rani Moodley has a diverse education history. Rani obtained a BPsych Honours degree in Psychology from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2011. Prior to that, in 2004, they completed a BA Honours degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Nelson Mandela University. Rani also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from Rhodes University, specializing in Information Systems and Industrial Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and Advanced studies, which they completed from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, in 1999, they participated in a Rotary International Exchange program. Rani completed their high school education, earning a Matric degree, from Greenside High School in 1998. Rani has also obtained several certifications, including Talent Management from LinkedIn in 2022, Critical Thinking for Better Judgment and Decision-Making from LinkedIn in 2020, and Diversity and Inclusion from Smollan in 2019. Rani has also received certifications in SHL Occupational Testing in 2009 and SHL Test Administration in 2006 from SHL Talent Measurement from CEB.
