Monica R. Burgess, CPA, currently serves as Assurance Signing Director at BDO USA since September 2018, having progressed through roles as Assurance Director and Assurance Senior Manager. Prior to BDO, Monica held the position of Senior Vice President in Retail Card Services Finance at Citi from March 2017 to April 2018. Monica's career in public accounting began at PwC, where responsibilities ranged from Assurance Associate to Assurance Senior Manager from January 2005 to March 2017. With a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Monica specializes in assisting investment managers and real estate companies in navigating governance, risk management, financial reporting, and business development strategies.
