John Smies

John Smies has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career at Stork Veco B.V. in 1999, where they served as a Senior F&I until 2011. In 2011, they joined BDR Thermea Group and has held multiple roles within the organization. These roles include Management Accountant, Business Controller, and currently, they hold the position of Head Office Accounting Manager & Business Controller. Throughout their career, John has gained expertise in various areas such as planning and control, management reporting, consolidation of group reporting, R&D reporting, and database administration.

John Smies earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Economics from Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 2007 to 2010. From 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Science in Control at Nyenrode Business University.
