Be-Atzmi בעצמי
Established in 1995, Be-Atzmi is an Israeli NGO that assists thousands of unemployed and underprivileged men and women every year to integrate, into stable and appropriate workforce opportunities. The organization implements 8 different employment assistance programs in over 90 locations throughout Israel, with a focus on social and geographic peripheries. Be-Atzmi's target audiences include single-mothers, young adults, 45+, ultra-orthodox Jews, Arabs, new immigrants, ex-convicts and others. With the help of our programs, thousands of men and women are able to initiate change in their lives, improve the welfare of their families and earn a livelihood that enables them to break free from the cycle of poverty and dependence. We are proud to have a success rate in which two of every three program graduates integrates into the workforce and/or professional training courses. Having recognized the importance and proven success of Be-Atzmi’s activities, relevant government ministries such as the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Services and the Ministry of Economics work in full partnership with Be-Atzmi to promote employment among underprivileged populations. Likewise, Be-Atzmi operates collaboratively with each of the local municipalities where our programs are being implemented. To complement and leverage the support of the public sector, Be-Atzmi has developed partnerships with both Israeli business, such as Bezeq, Bank Hapoalim, Strauss Group, Accenture Israel, Orex, as well as the philanthropic sector in Israel and abroad. Be-Atzmi's Board of Directors includes leading figures from Israel’s business, academic and social sectors, and is led by Chairman of the Board, Giora Ofer, former CEO of Discount Bank. Be-Atzmi is the official recipient of the Midot Seal of Effectiveness for 2017.
