Leandra Wilson-Patrick has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. In 2017, they participated in the Pre-College Program Student at The Johns Hopkins University. In 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago, where they classified phenotypes of NK cells in non-small cell lung cancer, examined transcriptional differences of NK cells in healthy tissues, cloned shRNA expressing constructs, and performed lentiviral transduction of shRNA into CAR-T cells. In 2020, they were a Biomaterials NSF-REU Participant at the University of California, San Diego - Jacobs School of Engineering, and a Summer Intern at the Cleveland Clinic, where they participated in the first ever Biomedical Engineering Virtual Summer Internship, attended seminars, and actively participated in fireside chats with leading BME faculty. In 2022, they will begin working as a Research Associate, Oncology at Be Biopharma.

Leandra Wilson-Patrick attended Harrison College from 2011 to 2018, where they earned an Associate of Science in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Leandra then went on to the University of Chicago, where they are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Engineering and is expected to graduate in 2022.
