Rich James

Rich James has worked in various roles in the academic and research fields since 2005. Rich began as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University in 2005, followed by a Fellowship at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2006. In 2010, they took on the role of Acting Instructor at the University of Washington. From 2012 to 2020, they were an Associate Professor and then Assistant Professor at the University of Washington's School of Medicine. During this time, they also worked as a Principal Investigator at the Seattle Children's Research Institute, where they ran a research lab focused on understanding how disease processes and pharmacological treatments alter cell signaling in immune diseases. In 2020, they founded Be Biopharma.

Rich James obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan between 1994 and 1998. Rich then went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard University between 1998 and 2005.
