Sean Arlauckas has over 13 years of work experience in the biotechnology field. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as an Intern at Elixir Pharmaceuticals and as a Healthcare Consultant at Penn Biotech Group. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Senior Scientist and Associate Principal Scientist at KSQ Therapeutics, Inc. Since 2020, they have been the Director of the B Cell Platform at Be Biopharma, where they lead efforts to isolate, expand, engineer and differentiate primary human B cells. Sean has also re-titled their role to reflect the R&D org chart and growth as a manager, worked with PMs to plan and execute key DC-enabling studies for Be's first Rare Disease program, on-boarded each new scientist as the company grew from 1 to 60 teammates, and built a culture of transparency in decision-making, diversity in decision-makers, and enthusiasm in support of the company mission.
Sean Arlauckas completed their High School diploma at Wheatland-Chili Central School in 2005. Sean then attended Case Western Reserve University, where they earned a B.S.E in Biomedical Engineering in 2009. After that, they attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Pharmacology, Molecular Imaging in 2015.
