Sean Marnane

Sean Marnane has over 13 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Sean began their career in 2007 as a Plant Engineering Intern at Amgen. In 2008, they moved to Lonza Biologics as an Engineer. In 2009, they joined Genzyme as a Process Engineer, and was promoted to Process Engineer II in the same year. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Pall Life Sciences as a Senior Process Engineer and Project Manager. In 2018, they were hired by bluebird bio as a Senior Manager of Process Engineering. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Rubius Therapeutics as the Associate Director and Director of Manufacturing. Currently, they are the Director of External Manufacturing and MSAT at Be Biopharma.

Sean Marnane attended Tufts University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Bioengineering. Sean previously attended the University of Rhode Island from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a B.S in Chemical Engineering.
