Gal Smidovnik

Gal Smidovnik has extensive work experience in project management, leadership, and software development. Starting in 2014, Gal worked as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer at Cosylab. In 2015, they became a Project Manager/Team Lead, responsible for the development and maintenance of SW components for medical particle accelerators. At RialtoTrade.com, Gal took on the role of Operations Manager, implementing agile methodology and project management tools. In 2019, they joined BE-terna as a Project Manager, overseeing projects until 2021. From 2021 to 2022, Gal served as a Program Manager at Beenius before returning to BE-terna. Currently, they hold the position of Head of the Project Management Department, where they lead a team, standardizes project management processes, and manages key projects.

Gal Smidovnik completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, which they completed between 2008 and 2014. Gal also holds additional certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2019, a Microsoft Specialist: Programming in C# certification from Microsoft in 2016, and an IELTS Academic Certificate from IELTS BRITISHCOUNCIL.
