Franz Fürbass

Franz Fürbass is currently working as a Research Scientist at Beacon Biosignals since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH from August 2009 to March 2022, first as a Scientist and later as a Senior Scientist. During their time at AIT, they conducted research on deep learning methods for biosignal analysis and healthcare AI, as well as worked on product development for medical devices. Before joining AIT, Franz worked as a Digital Design Engineer at austriamicrosystems from December 2006 to July 2009. Franz also worked as a Telecommunication Engineer at Erzia Technologies from September 2005 to February 2006 and as a Software Developer at Bearingpoint Infonova from November 2000 to August 2003.

Franz Fürbass completed their education at two different universities. Franz first attended Technische Universität Graz from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a DI degree in Telematik. Later, from 2014 to 2017, they pursued further education at Technische Universität Wien, completing a Doktor (Ph.D.) degree in Dr.-Studium der techn. Wissenschaften Elektrotechnik.
