Emily Jackson

Emily Jackson has extensive experience in youth housing and homelessness prevention, currently serving as Manager of Mirrors Youth Housing and Manager of Lighthouse Youth Supportive Housing at Beacon Community Services since July 2021. Previous roles include Youth Housing Support Worker at the same organization and Scorer/Administrative Assistant at Dr. Jillian Roberts Psychology Corporation from December 2021 to December 2022. Prior to these positions, Emily coordinated efforts to prevent youth homelessness and engaged youth at the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness between December 2017 and July 2021. Additionally, Emily contributed as a Research Assistant at the Community Social Planning Council of Greater Victoria, focusing on housing affordability and public policy. Notably, Emily led the youth engagement for the 2018 Point-in-Time Count, part of a nationwide initiative to assess homelessness in Canadian communities.
