Michael Slemons has extensive work experience in the field of sports medicine outreach and athletic training. Michael currently holds the role of Director of Sports Medicine Outreach at Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Prior to this, they served as the High School Community Outreach Manager at the same company. Before joining Beacon Orthopaedics, they worked as a Physician Extender and Athletic Trainer at OrthoCincy and Mercy Health. Additionally, they spent over a decade as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. Earlier in their career, they served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Cincinnati Silverbacks NPSL, where they managed sports medicine operations for professional sports teams and developed strong relationships with players.

Michael Slemons has a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from John Brown University, obtained from 1986 to 1991. Michael also holds a Master's degree in Health & Nutrition Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, obtained from 1992 to 1994. In 2011, they completed a program in Applied Functional Science: Focus On Understanding and Application Of Human Biomechanics at Gray Institute and obtained a degree in Applied Functional Science in Human Biomechanics from the same institute. Additionally, they have certifications including Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Red Cross and the title of Master Flexologist from StretchLab Franchise. Michael Slemons is also a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) from the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer, although the exact year of obtaining this certification is unknown.
