As the Vice President of Sales at Beacon, you will be managing our global sales team. Your primary focus will be on optimizing sales processes, operational metrics, and coaching the team to drive revenue growth. You will lead a global team of high-performing Account Executives and Account Managers and report directly to the CEO and Co-Founder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and build a high-performing global sales team, including Account Executives and Account Managers, while . Provide guidance, coaching and professional development for the sales team
- Sales Strategy and Negotiation Management: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals. Identify new client opportunities, and expand business with existing clients. Oversee and actively participate in sales negotiations to win deals and secure favorable terms for the company
- Sales Operations and Performance Management: Establish clear performance metrics, KPIs and sales targets for the team to ensure accountability. Implement robust sales enablement processes, tools and technologies to streamline workflows and optimize productivity. Forecast accurate revenue and pipeline projections to support business planning and decision making.
- Client Relationship Management: Oversee and nurture client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle. Build and maintain trust with clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Marketing Campaign Optimization: Work closely with the Marketing team to generate and optimize campaigns (digital, content, demand generation, etc.). Enhance sales opportunities and revenue generation through data-driven insights.
- Sales Performance Accountability: Hold overall accountability for the sales organization's performance, ensuring profitable achievement of organizational goals. Align sales objectives with the company's short- and long-term business strategy.
- Client Engagement: Actively participate in client calls, collaborating with client leadership to drive strategic and tactical planning aligned with clients' objectives. Demonstrate a customer-centric approach in all interactions.
- Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the CEO, Co-Founder, and other executives to ensure alignment between sales objectives and broader company goals. Work as a key player in organizational success and growth.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in selling Enterprise software solutions, with a successful track record in large, complex sales. Financial software/Capital markets background preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Sec-DB, Athena, Quartz or other Enterprise financial software solutions is advantageous
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing and directing a sales team.
- A natural leader that is willing and eager to learn; You need to understand the problems and needs that drive customers and prospects to search for solutions
- Proven history of retaining, developing, motivating, and mentoring highly effective teams.
- Exceptional relationship building, collaboration, and team development skills.
- Exceptional communicator with strong presentation skills and an Executive presence.
- Proven ability to present technical solutions effectively and influence technical decision-makers and executives
- Demonstrated ability to implement processes that drive performance and scalability.
- Willingness to travel frequently and internationally.
- Experience scaling at an early stage startup is a plus.
Expected salary: $200,00 - 300,000
