Eric Eifert

Eric Eifert is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Cybersecurity Research Engineer at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology since January 2023, where responsibilities include researching and developing cybersecurity content for Operational Technology and Industrial Control Systems and creating training material for Nuclear Power Plants. As the Executive Director of the Defense & Cyber Business Unit at BEACON RED since February 2021, Eric provides expert consultation in various cybersecurity disciplines and advises national-level cybersecurity programs in the UAE. Previous roles include senior leadership positions in managed security services at Digital14 UAE and Dark Matter LLC, along with significant experience in cyber defense at ManTech and law enforcement at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Additionally, Eric has an academic background as an adjunct professor at George Mason University, teaching graduate-level computer forensics courses. Eric holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
