Russell Stanley has extensive experience in the financial industry, with a focus on equity research. Russell currently serves as the Managing Director of Equity Research at Beacon Securities Limited, where they provide dedicated coverage of the emerging US cannabis industry. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director and Analyst at Echelon Wealth Partners. Russell also served as the Vice President and Analyst at Mackie Research Capital, where they provided investment research on various industries. Russell started their career at Jennings Capital as a Research Analyst and eventually became the Head of Research, managing a team of 12 analysts. Russell has also held positions at Haywood Securities, Clarus Securities Inc., Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon, and Clearsight Wealth Management.
Russell Stanley obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from York University in 1997. Russell then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance at the Schulich School of Business - York University, completing it in 2002. In 2003, they enrolled in the CFA Institute and obtained the CFA certification by 2005. Russell also completed the Options Licensing Course, Derivatives Fundamentals Course, and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course from the Canadian Securities Institute. In 2010, they completed the Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course (PDO) from the same institute. Additionally, they acquired the Certified Market Technician (CMT) designation, specializing in Technical Analysis, from the CMT Association.
