Joakim Axmon

I earned my PhD in signal processing in 2004 and have since been active in the wireless communication industry where over the years I have been driving systems architecture, systems design, implementation, and standardisation for several of the “G”s, with focus on the physical layer/air interface and up to the whole protocol stack depending on feature and role. I am named inventor of 160+ patent families and I have 600+ granted patents worldwide. Some of my ideas have had a disruptive impact on features in the 3GPP and O-RAN standards, others have more been related to details in the standard or implementation of the standard.

I very much appreciate working in an international environment and have significant experience of working in multi-cultural settings both from founding and leading a global systems architecture team, leading feature development in an international multi-site setup, and from years working as a standardisation delegate to 3GPP.
