Allen Horton

Allen Horton has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Head of External Manufacturing at Beam Therapeutics since February 2022. Prior to this role, Allen was the Head of Downstream Operations at Takeda from 2019 to March 2022 and held the position of Associate Director of Upstream Operations at Takeda. Allen's career also includes significant roles at Shire HGT as Manager of Production Control and at Shire as Supervisor of Cell Culture. Earlier experience includes a Senior Associate position at Amgen from 2004 to 2008. Allen has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Rhode Island. Allen graduated from West Chester East High School in 1993.
