Jenny Olins

Principal Research Associate at Beam

Jenny Olins has a diverse work experience in both research and managerial roles. Jenny started their career as a Research Assistant and Lab Manager at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2013 to 2017. After that, they worked as a Research Intern at the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences and as an Intern at Sanquin in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Jenny then joined Beam Therapeutics and held various positions including Research Associate II, Hematology, Senior Research Associate I, Analytical Development, and currently works as a Principal Research Associate since 2022. In addition to their research roles, Jenny also gained managerial experience as a Manager at Earthfoods Cafe from 2014 to 2015, where they were responsible for preparing vegetarian meals, serving customers, and managing the overall operations of the restaurant.

Jenny Olins obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Jenny then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Amsterdam from 2017 to 2019.
