Samuel Rollins

Samuel Rollins has extensive experience in the legal and intellectual property fields. Samuel is currently the VP, Legal at Beam Therapeutics, where they focus on lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology for base editing therapies. Samuel works closely with general counsel and senior management to define and implement the company's IP strategy for LNPs. Prior to this, Rollins served as the SVP, Intellectual Property at vTv Therapeutics LLC from 2015 to 2021 and as the Vice President, Intellectual Property from 2004 to 2015. Samuel started their career as an Associate at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP from 2001 to 2004 and worked as a Data Compensation Assistant at Novartis Crop Protection, Inc in 1998.

Samuel Rollins holds a J.D. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they pursued a Ph.D in Chemistry from Colorado State University between 1992 and 1997. Samuel'sundergraduate studies in Chemistry were completed at the University of North Carolina from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a B.S. degree.
