Megan Martis

Megan Martis has a diverse work experience across various industries. Megan started their career as an Environmental Engineering Researcher and Science Outreach Educator at Colgate University from September 2017 to May 2020. During this time, they also served as the Natural History Collections Manager and conducted research on sediment contamination in the Susquehanna Watershed for their Physics Thesis.

In 2018, Megan founded their own company called CLOECO, and served as the Founder. Megan also worked as an Air Force Quantum Communications Laboratory Intern at Griffiss Institute, and as a Technical Intern at The Aerospace Corporation in 2019.

Megan's passion for space exploration led their to join Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) in April 2020, where they served as SEDS USA Operations Staff: Webmaster until March 2022. In 2021, they participated in the TechLab Climate Change program as part of the University of Michigan's 2021 Cohort, and also worked as a 2021 Fellowship Cohort at the Multidisciplinary Design Program.

In 2022, Megan joined juwi Inc. as a Development Engineer, where they worked until March 2023. Megan then joined Bear Peak Power in March 2023 as an Associate Developer, where they are currently employed.

Throughout their career, Megan has demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit by being involved in various entrepreneurship programs, including Thought Into Action Entrepreneurship at Colgate University.

Overall, Megan Martis has gained a diverse range of experiences in research, development, operations, and entrepreneurship across different organizations and industries.

Megan Martis earned a Bachelor's degree in Astrogeophysics from Colgate University, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Energy Systems Engineering at the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, starting in 2020 and completing it in 2021. In addition, Megan obtained a certification in Google Analytics for Beginners from Google in May 2020.
