Renchang Tan

Renchang (Randy) Tan currently serves as Tech Lead Manager for Robotics Simulation at Bear Robotics since April 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in autonomous driving from previous roles at DiDi and NIO. Tan transitioned from a Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer in the autonomous driving sector during tenure at NIO from February 2018 to February 2020, and served as a Software Engineer at DiDi from February 2020 until March 2023. Educationally, Tan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Statistics from Rutgers University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China. Additionally, Tan has gained research and teaching experience as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Rutgers and held internships at Boehringer Ingelheim.
