Caroline Beasley

Caroline Beasley currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization on January 1, 2017. In her role, she is responsible for leading the Beasley’s 62 radio properties, digital operations and esports division (including ownership of the Overwatch League’s Houston Outlaws).

She previously served as interim Chief Executive Officer from March 18, 2016, until December 31st, 2016, and as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary beginning in 1994. Ms. Beasley has served as a Director of the Company since she joined the organization in1983.

The media executive currently serves as Chair of the BMI Board of Directors. She is the immediate past Chair of the Joint Board Chair of the National Association of the Broadcasters (NAB) Board of Directors and is a former Chair of the NAB Radio Board. In addition, Ms. Beasley serves is a member of the Broadcasters Foundation of America Board of Directors.

In April of 2022, she will receive the National Association of Broadcaster’s “National Radio Award” for her dedication and commitment to the radio industry at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 2017, Ms. Beasley was honored by Radio Ink magazine as “Radio Executive of the Year” and has been consistently ranked among the top five “40 Most Powerful People in Radio” by the publication. In addition, she has been featured in the magazine’s “Most Influential Women in Radio” issue on an annual basis since 2003.

Ms. Beasley is a past recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters and the Frances Preston Trailblazer Award from the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group (MIW), a national organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of women to senior positions in the radio industry. In 2019, she was honored with the “Horizon Award” for her visionary industry leadership during the Media Institute’s Annual Free Speech Gala.

Ms. Beasley earned a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina.
