Sina Shabani

Sina Shabani, Ph.D., currently serves as the Lead Data & ML Engineer and Lead Data Scientist at Beatdapp since September 2023. Previously, from October 2018 to August 2023, Sina was a Data Scientist at Foundry Spatial, where the development of the Flux Forecast Application was a significant achievement, focused on flood warning systems utilizing ETL scripts for weather data. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where innovative deep learning methods were applied for long-term water demand forecasting. Sina also held a position as a Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant at the American University of Sharjah, focusing on the assessment of trihalomethanes formation in polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, and polypropylene pipe systems. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Water Resources Management from The University of British Columbia, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, both from the American University of Sharjah.
