Morgan Soley

Morgan Soley has over 17 years of work experience in the software engineering field. They started their career as a Software Developer at Edoc Systems Group Ltd in 2003 and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Software Developer at Latitude Geographics. In 2010, they joined Ingrooves Music Group as a Senior Software Engineer and later held roles as an Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, and VP Software Engineering. In this position, Morgan was responsible for managing multiple software development teams, executing the company's technical strategy, launching new SaaS product lines, and contributing to the development of core systems. In 2020, Morgan joined Beatport as an Engineering Lead and later transitioned to the role of Director of Engineering in September 2021.

Morgan Soley obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria from 1998 to 2004. Morgan also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the same university during the same period. Additionally, Morgan has acquired various certifications including IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer and IBM Blockchain Essentials from IBM in 2018, C100DBA: MongoDB Certified DBA Associate Exam (MongoDB 3.0) from MongoDB, Inc. in 2015, Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in 2014, and MCTS 70-433 - SQL Server 2008 - Database Development from Microsoft in 2010.
