Bengt Jacobsson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. BENGT started their career in 1987 as a Creative Consultant at H&M, where they informed and inspired the design team and buyers on upcoming trends in fabrics and fashion. BENGT also created and delivered seasonal color ranges and reported on street fashion and global market insights.
In 1993, Bengt Jacobsson started their own company, Bengt Jacobsson Design, where they served as the Creative Director. In this role, they forecasted lifestyle, color, fabric, and fashion trends, as well as provided design development and creative direction.
From 2005 to 2010, Bengt Jacobsson worked as the Design & Creative Director at Dow, where they were responsible for the creative direction of the global launch and sales of the stretch fiber XLA. BENGT also developed fabric collections and sales tools, and conducted customer presentations globally.
In 2008, Bengt Jacobsson joined BeautyStreams as a Creative Consultant, forecasting color and beauty trends and serving as an editor for the CROSS CURRENTS section. BENGT also worked as a Creative Director for Lifestyle Trends at Stylesight from 2007 to 2009.
Bengt Jacobsson held the position of Director Trends and Creative Vision at Swarovski from 2011 to 2021. In this role, they were a member of the Creative Division's board of directors and actively participated in steering committees for strategic topics. BENGT was also a team leader and talent developer.
In 2021, Bengt Jacobsson founded ORAMA Creative Lab, where they served as the Founder CEO and Creative Director. The company offered trend analysis and 360-degree creative direction and vision to clients.
Currently, Bengt Jacobsson holds the position of VP Bespoke Division at BeautyStreams, which provides tailor-made solutions for all players in the beauty industry globally. In this role, they are responsible for branding, product offer development, trend forecasting, and competitive analysis.
Bengt Jacobsson completed their education at three different institutions. From 1981 to 1985, they attended Beckmans Designhögskola in Stockholm, where they focused on Fashion/Apparel Design. In 2015, they enrolled in a program called "Accelerating Performance" at Hult Ashridge. Lastly, in 2021, Bengt pursued a certification as a florist at Ecole des Fleuristes de Paris.
