Gustavo Balderas

Gustavo Balderas, D.Ed., is a seasoned education administrator currently serving as the Superintendent of Beaverton School District since July 2022, overseeing 40,000 students across 54 campuses. Prior to this role, Balderas held superintendent positions in several districts, including Edmonds School District 15 from July 2020 to June 2022, Eugene School District 4J from July 2015 to July 2020, Ocean View School District from January 2013 to July 2015, and Madera Unified School District from July 2011 to January 2013. Balderas holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Oregon, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational, Instructional, and Curriculum Supervision from Portland State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Western Oregon University.
