Melody Childers has a strong background in education, with a focus on science and math. Starting in 2003, Melody worked as a Middle School Science and Math Teacher at Epstein School until 2005. Following this, Melody joined Three Rivers Tutoring in 2005 as a Chemistry Tutor. In 2006, Melody joined Beaverton School District as a Secondary Science Teacher until 2009. Melody returned to Beaverton School District in 2014 as a Science Teacher, where they currently work.
Melody Childers pursued their education starting from 1996 to 2000 at the University of Rochester, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology and Immunology. After that, they continued their studies from 2000 to 2003 at Emory University, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis. Subsequently, in 2004 to 2005, they attended Georgia State University, earning a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary Science Education.
