Sydney Chehab began their work experience in 2020 as a Student Research Assistant at Gonzaga University, where they identified and collected noxious weed species and conducted an experiment on the effects of liquid smoke from these weeds on native seed growth. They also assisted as an Ecology Lab Teaching Assistant, grading assignments and supervising students in lab procedures. In 2021, Sydney worked as a Student Teacher at Lewis & Clark High School, and in 2022, they became a Middle School Science Teacher at Beaverton School District.
Sydney Chehab has a diverse educational background with a focus on environmental studies and biology. From 2017 to 2021, they attended Gonzaga University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and another Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a research concentration. In 2019, they also had an opportunity to study abroad at DIS, focusing on sustainable development in Northern Europe. Currently, they are pursuing a Master in Initial Teaching degree at the Gonzaga University School of Education, specializing in Secondary Education and Teaching with a Biology endorsement.
