Fred Kleiterp

Fred Kleiterp is an accomplished insurance executive currently serving as European General Manager and a member of the Group Executive Committee at Beazley since June 2023. Prior to this role, Fred held several senior leadership positions at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions from July 2017 to May 2023, including Chief Executive Officer EMEA and a member of the Executive Committee, overseeing operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Fred's extensive experience at Swiss Re spanned from 2001 to 2018, where roles included Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for both Asia Pacific and EMEA regions, alongside positions on various management committees. Earlier in Fred's career, leadership roles at Atradius focused on underwriting and claims in the Benelux region, complemented by an early internship at Pierson Heldring & Pierson. Fred's academic foundation includes a Master of Business Administration in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, completed in 1991.
