Vanessa Ortega

Vanessa Ortega is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations and program management within the insurance industry. Currently serving as the Group Head of Operations (Underwriting and Claims) at Beazley since August 2022, Vanessa previously held various senior leadership roles at AIG from September 2002 to August 2022. Key positions included Global Lead of Program Management, SVP of Operational Excellence, and Head of Automation and Business Design for Property & Casualty, where significant contributions were made towards digital transformation and operational efficiency. Vanessa's expertise also spans change management and process automation, demonstrated through the successful delivery of AIG's first fully automated claims processes. Prior experience includes roles at IBM Global Services and Accenture, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Research from the University of the Philippines.
