Steve Hoar

Steve Hoar has extensive experience in athletic leadership and education, currently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Hockey Coach at Becker College since 2006, while also contributing as an Adjunct Professor in the Sports Management Department. Previously, Steve was the Recreation and Skating Facility Director at Hayden Recreation Center in Lexington, Massachusetts, where responsibilities included program development and facility management from 1989 to 2006. Earlier in their career, Steve coached a nationally ranked NCAA Division III hockey program at SUNY Plattsburgh and served as an Assistant Professor of Physical Education from 1984 to 1989. Steve's educational background includes a Master’s in Athletic Administration and Physical Education from Boston University and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Boston College. Additionally, Steve's early career included teaching and coaching at The Fessenden School.
