Michelle Kokkinou

Michelle Kokkinou, PhD, currently serves as a Preclinical Project Manager at Beckley Psytech since February 2024. Prior to this role, Michelle held positions as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at Kanna Health from June 2022 to January 2024, and as a Manager and Associate Principal Preclinical Pharmacologist at GW Pharmaceuticals plc from October 2019 to June 2022. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences and a Graduate Teaching Assistantship at Imperial College London during the PhD study. Michelle obtained a competitive PhD scholarship from the Medical Research Council and focused research on the effects of ketamine on the dopaminergic system using advanced imaging and behavioral techniques. Additional academic qualifications include a recent MBA Essentials from the London School of Economics and multiple degrees in Neuroscience and Biomedical Science from Imperial College London.
